社会实践与工作经历主要是看人才的实践经验能力，在很多职位的招聘上所需要都是有一定工资经验者。众所周知的在求职中有丰富经验的人，优势更大。不过，社会实践与工作经历也不仅仅是在工作中所获得。求职者需要先了解其所包含的内容，尤其是应届毕业生更需要知道。
所谓的社会实践所包含的范围非常广，像是在社会所参与的一些活动，还有所接受过的教育，以及在校期间所参与的学生会工作等等，都可以作为社会实践写入个人简历。而工作经历所包含的范围也不仅仅是在正式的工作上，应届毕业生的实习经历、兼职经历也可以算是工作经历。
在编写工作经历也有一些要点值得注意，其一是写作的顺序，有一些人的工作经历有很多，一般来说在个人简历上默认的是排在第一位的是最为重要的一项。那么，在写的时候就要将于求职意向有关的工作经历放在前面写。其二，是工作经历的次数，一般来说写三到四个工作经历即可，尽量不要超过四个。工作经历写的太多会引起对方的怀疑，频繁跳槽对个人求职没有好处。
